Our 'No Parent Fundraising' Policy

At Clockwork Learning Centers we strongly believe that families have the right to expect high quality care without needing it to be supplemented by fundraising.

In providing quality care for all children at accessible and affordable rates, the provision for all costs in regard to Center operations should then be incorporated within each Center's budget. Families are required to pay fees only, and they should know that this will cover all aspects of Center running and resources. The exception is in the event of supplementary in-center programs, hosted by outside services, or outings which require an entrance cost, or where the parents have been consulted as paying for the service. These exceptions will be for a specific event or activity only. Parents will not be asked to participate in fundraising activities in order to purchase resources for the Center.

If parents, or grand-parents, would like to be involved in the Center, they are encouraged to volunteer their time or experience as opposed to a monetary contribution. This also means that irrespective of income, all parents can contribute in one form or another.

Parents may also like to support the program by supplying surplus materials, from their workplace or home, for the Center to recycle and use.

A contribution to the Center, such as a book or resource that is meaningful to the staff and children, labelled with the child's name is also a really nice way to contribute to one of our Centers.

All organizations approaching Clockwork Learning Centers in regard to fundraising will be informed of this policy.
